Kamilla (01:15.631)
Oh my God, thank you Anya. I'm so excited to be here myself. Thank you for your time.

Anya Smith (01:19.394)
And we got this started. We got this started through all the technical issues. Yes. Oh, 100%. And Camilla, did we meet on threads? How did we meet? Was that Instagram threads?

Kamilla (01:24.362)
Hey, nothing is perfect, right? We just make it. Just, we just make it what, just make it perfect.

Kamilla (01:35.558)
No, I think I actually reached out to you on LinkedIn, if I'm not mistaken. Or was it Instagram? I'm not really sure, but yes, one of those platforms. And I said, hey, I might have something for you. And you were, you know, generous enough to invite me. So I'm super excited to be here.

Anya Smith (01:39.362)
Oh wow!

Anya Smith (01:48.101)
Yes.

Anya Smith (01:52.917)
I am super excited to have you. And to be full transparent, I also did your coaching program. So you recently had a launch and I was very excited. And honestly, selfishly, I wasn't sure how I would commit to it and how much I would like it because I always liked the idea of growing when I hear it. But then when the time approaches, I'm like, oh, do I have an hour for this? Is it worth it? And from the very first session we had, I kept coming back to it like, yes, this is so important. And now I think it's been over a month.

And I'm still thinking about those practices and seeing how they influence my life. So really excited to share that with the audience. But before we dive in, let's talk about you and how this whole journey started. You mentioned that you came from a distant country. So can you tell us a little bit about your background and how you got to the US? And then we'll talk about what you did from that.

Kamilla (02:42.958)
Sure. Well, first of all, before I go there, I just want to say thank you for the feedback because it means so much to me when people actually take the most out of the program, out of the information that I share, and it changes their lives, it impacts their life, because it's like small changes that really make a big difference. And now I'll get to your question. So coming from Uzbekistan, it's actually, I was thinking about it recently and next year is going to mark exactly half of my life that I spent in this country.

Anya Smith (02:59.002)
Yeah.

Kamilla (03:11.554)
versus Uzbekistan. So it's like one of those things when you say, what is home? Well, home has been the states for a really long time, although my family is still in Uzbekistan. So came here as a student, very basic to non-English, and really had quite a few jobs just to kind of carry myself through financially through college. And then at the end of all that, I landed a job in corporate.

one of the biggest global corporations. And that was the dream at the moment. I mean, the biggest dream I could dare to dream, right? And over a decade later, I'm pivoting. I'm ready to start something new. I am, and it's just interesting how our dreams evolve with us as we grow. So that's really it. Like I, you know, travel, moved across the country.

I was in New York, now I'm in California, and it's been quite a journey.

Anya Smith (04:14.337)
And in your description, we didn't include it in the intro, but you mentioned that you also moved at 19, right? So very young to completely different part of the world. What made you do that decision? It's pretty drastic, right?

Kamilla (04:27.162)
It is pretty drastic and there were a couple of things. One was I've always been someone who...

I've been just interested in exploring. And I am someone who gets, or at least used to be, someone who'd get bored from things quite quickly. So, you know, living at home, going to college, life was pretty darn good and easy is never my jam. So I just thought there was a three-month program. I was just, I'm gonna do it, talk to my parents. And my dad at the time told me that...

you will be back in a day, you won't be able to last for a day. And I lasted 19 years. So a lot of that was really to prove my father that I could do things on my, and believe me, in a few days, I was at a place where I was like, I'm so going back. But there was a lot of it saying no. And, and none of that is,

Anya Smith (05:20.088)
Yeah.

Kamilla (05:30.538)
the best energy. And if we do get a chance to dive into energy, right? Like that all is all the energy, which I am really trying not to have in my life any longer, because I was operating a lot by that energy before. But the energy gave me, you know, I reached a lot of goals. I've done a lot of things on that energy. Not sustainable, but it works. So we definitely can talk about it.

Anya Smith (05:32.285)
Great. Oh yes.

Anya Smith (05:40.827)
Right.

Anya Smith (05:58.749)
Okay, so we mentioned energy. And people who may be not familiar with talking about energy so much, why are you passionate about energy? What difference has it made in your life?

Kamilla (06:09.294)
Because we all are energy. Everything is energy, right? If we think about it, like the conversation that we are having is energy. The sound is energy. So if we, our thoughts, so if we just think about how much...

of energy is within us, around us, then we start appreciating that by recognizing that, by learning to appreciate it, by learning to respond and stay in control of it, we can actually change our life. Because if everything is energy, then how we do things, how we think about things, how we feel about things, actually sends...

We can talk about karma. It sends the ball out into the universe and then whatever you send out comes back to you. And karma is not a bad thing. People think about karma. People think, okay, karma is something bad. No, but karma is exactly the response of what you've sent to the universe. And recently I was listening to actually a webinar and they were talking about karma in the way that anything you have now in life is your karma.

Anya Smith (07:01.136)
Yeah.

Kamilla (07:29.086)
And now you have a chance to create a new karma. So the way you respond to things in your life is what sends the ball out into the universe for that to respond. So the passion to energy is because...

Kamilla (07:48.578)
There is really all that is, right? And if we start unpacking it and figuring out how at our core we have choices and we are in control of something so grand and we are part of something so grand, that's when the changes start happening.

Anya Smith (08:09.405)
That's fascinating. You know what it reminds me of is this element, we're all made of atoms and they move, right? They're constantly moving. So when you think about energy, it's not just, you know, fluff like, oh, I feel nice or I feel bad. And it's honestly, there's physics involved to it, right? There's vibrations that we don't see in wavelengths that are happening all around us, you know, like radio wavelengths, but we were comfortable with that being a radio or wifi, but we don't realize like that's actually they're wavelengths of energy that we also vibrate on.

Kamilla (08:16.142)
Bye!

Anya Smith (08:38.853)
We're not just immune to that. But I'm sure that you weren't maybe always attuned to this energy passion. What sparked it? Because here you are, you're here, you're working hard, you're getting corporate job and doing that. What sparked this curiosity into energy?

Kamilla (08:39.535)
Exactly.

Kamilla (08:56.878)
So the energy started with my work with my subconscious mind. So, well, the time it started, it was COVID. So I lived in New York City, had my very busy life, loved it, oh, I thought I did, still love the city. And when everything shut down and...

Anya Smith (09:05.245)
Mm-hmm. Okay.

Kamilla (09:21.746)
it feels like there were so many external factors that motivated me, that excited me, that I never had to, or I never had time, or I never had courage to look inside. So when all of that was shut down, that's when I actually started exploring, and that's when I went onto the path of self-discovering. And through that, I really have done so many practices.

Anya Smith (09:37.722)
Right.

Kamilla (09:51.034)
but my journey actually started with hypnotherapy. And I've done hypnotherapy. I actually want to eventually become a certified hypnotherapist just because, and not because I want to actually do hypnosis, but because I want to incorporate it in my practice, given how much power it has to unpack what we don't even know that controls our life.

that subconscious. So our subconscious mind has its own memory, has its life of its own and what we think that we make decisions every day, we actually don't. Most of us live based on our preconditions, based on our limiting beliefs, assumptions and all of that good stuff, right, which all stored in our subconscious mind. So until we actually consciously bring that to here and start thinking about it from

Anya Smith (10:21.582)
Right.

Anya Smith (10:29.338)
Right.

Kamilla (10:49.858)
How does that benefit our current life? How does it empower us versus limit us? Until we start thinking like that, our subconsciousness runs our life. So I started there and that brought me to coaching, my journey into coaching. And again, I've done, within that I've done a lot of woo-woo energy practices and all that stuff. So I've done it all.

And I'm super excited about it all and I love it. See it all and it all has place to be. You know why? Because maybe that specific thing is not on its own doing anything, but your connection to it and the energy that you charge it with, that's where the magic is. So it's not the pen, right? It's like literally what you put into it. But going back to the coaching and

Anya Smith (11:20.031)
I have my little energy.

Kamilla (11:48.886)
Um, I, when I was looking through the programs, I couldn't really connect with any just very mainstream kind of programs, right? And the program that I completed is energy coaching. So it's all about let's connect with the deepest selves and let's unpack everything that

that has been in our who bag for so long. Because our who bag is what we believe we are and what we introduce ourselves as we are, but it's not really who we are because we don't know who we are a lot of times. Because since we're kids, we're told who we are, right? So, and the time when you actually get to explore the true essence of who you are, that's when magic starts happening. So that's kind of my long answer to what I love and how I got to energy.

Anya Smith (12:39.293)
I love it.

You know, for anybody who maybe isn't familiar with hypnotherapy, I also found it a little bit early on in life. I think for better or worse, I grew up with a mom who was always looking at cell health books, like all of the energy, the tapping, everything. And I loved it because I'm thinking, well, there's a lot of things that are challenging life. Why not try what's out there? Why not? If you could, you know, if it doesn't work, not a big deal, but instead of maybe, you know, scrolling on Instagram and social media, which I do too.

What if I spend those same 10 minutes on something else? And if it doesn't work, fine. But if it does, there's only an upside to that. So hypnotherapy, what I remember from it, I haven't done it as much recently, but I like Joseph Clow was the person I was following at that time. And it gets beyond your subconscious because we have a very conscious defense, maybe guard. That's like, oh no, that's illogical. All right, it's like, it's these trained defenses that are on guard, like this is who you are.

Kamilla (13:35.022)
Mm-hmm, absolutely.

Anya Smith (13:40.069)
This is what I see. This is the security telling you don't do that. But when you're asleep or subconsciously, let's guard it in hypnosis. That's where the work is happening. I do find it really magical too. I'm excited that you're adding that to your toolkit.

Kamilla (13:56.846)
Absolutely, yes.

Anya Smith (13:58.969)
Okay, so now we've explored this, we've got to energy. How has then your practice evolved to now we have this you dream you do practice?

Kamilla (14:08.666)
Um, so I work with people on one-on-one basis. I, my practice really starts my relationship with, uh, my client starts with the assessment it's called energy leadership assessment. And that actually has been voted by Forbes, one of the top leadership assessment on the market. And the reason for that is because it doesn't tell you it's one, probably one of the few assessments that do not, if not the only one that does not tell you who you are.

What it tells you is that, who do you show up as at current moment in your life? Which is very fascinating because when somebody tells you, this is who you are, you take it as, this defines me, you take it as a box. But when I tell you that this is how you show up, and there is a whole universe of opportunities for you to show up in any way you actually want to show up, that is when energy work can begin. So the assessment really,

Anya Smith (14:53.017)
Right, right.

Kamilla (15:07.478)
just defines how do you show up in all areas of your life and what energy do you bring to the table at your normal business as usual kind of life as well as under stress. Because under stress is where the true subconscious kind of energy, like all of that really, really kicks in, right? So, and then from there, even though people usually come with a goal,

that assessment opens their eyes to like pivoting or shifting or even looking at the same goal but more from a different, with a different lens, right? Because now they know the core qualities that they want to

work on in order to be where they want to be. So the goal itself, that pin somewhere far ahead, becomes less relevant, and what becomes more relevant is the work they want to do now. And it usually, you know, and then through the work, we unblock blocks that they have, all the assumptions, all limiting beliefs, we build a plan. There is definitely quite a big of accountability involved. And...

when they graduate per se, there's no graduation. But yes, but when they stop, they can always continue going with our coaching relationship for different purpose, for a different question, goal, or they go ahead and start living the changes that they've experienced through our relationship. So I also do the group trainings

one that you attended. So I actually make this program now over six weeks rather than a few days just because there's a lot of homework that I want to be completed in between and people gain more by working and by living through the knowledge that they receive through a longer period of time. So then we can come back and reflect their more group exercises. So there is a little bit of that.

Kamilla (17:21.07)
And I also am a speaker, so I have an event that I speak in tomorrow actually. So there's quite a bit in there and it's all rotating around energy. So I love it all.

Anya Smith (17:32.569)
Yeah. Wow, Kamila. And you're a mom and you're working, this is incredible. Can I share what stood out to me from our session? My personal, like, something that really stopped me, let's say, maybe when you really focused on this work, was when you said that the energy that you have when you're trying to tackle a goal is the energy you're gonna keep when you achieve it.

Kamilla (17:38.702)
Thank you.

Anya Smith (17:59.885)
And that's very powerful. And I'm paraphrasing it. You said it a lot more eloquently. But what struck a chord with me is that as somebody who was a high achiever, I was always puzzled by, okay, I'm achieving, here I am leaning in, putting in all this effort, hustling, struggling, and I achieve it. And that energy doesn't go away for whatever reason. And it really struck a chord with me that if I want to live differently and achieve something that makes me feel differently,

I need to be achieving it with that different energy. And that was very, very powerful. And of course there were a lot of other things, but that was something that really made me question how I've been doing things and motivates me, I'll honestly daily now, to question, where is my energy now, even if I'm doing hard stuff, where's my energy and is it serving me and is that how I want to be showing up?

Kamilla (18:52.526)
I love it. Yeah, I always love hearing this from people who've attended my programs or my clients. And that is exactly where it is, right? If we live with the energy that we want to achieve at the end of the goal, then the key thing is really we enjoy the journey. Because how many lessons we miss out on just because we don't see anything around us and we are just

have a tiny, very narrow tunnel, and we run, we get to the goal, we even forget why the goal is important. We take that flag off the ground, and we set another goal, and we run, run. And I'm saying it from absolutely personal experience. I've lived my entire life like that, and that's why I'm so focused on goal setting, because I know it both ways. I know it the way when you have the goal, and I can proudly say,

I really missed very few, if any, marks. I was so determined to get to every goal that I set for myself. Was I happy? Did I know why I was achieving those goals? I don't know, because a lot of those goals were not even mine. So those goals were really my mom's, my dad's, my parents' goals for me. You have to be educated. You have to have a big corporate job. Woohoo, I got a huge corporate job. You have to do this.

all of those things that we have to do. Again, it creates our who bag and we come up with goals from that who bag. And then the celebration is really like what are we celebrating if it's not aligning with our core? And then if we only take a step back and take in where we want to be at our core and embody that now and move ahead with that energy

then the tangible goal itself is just cherry on top because you've really created a path for yourself. You really created that beautiful journey and every experience is going to either guide you toward your goal or it's gonna pivot you and you're gonna listen to yourself. And that is the difference because when you run, you don't listen to yourself anymore. You don't know whether it's time to change at some point.

Kamilla (21:15.882)
So I think that's really where the beauty is. You really can, by living in the moment and still having your eye on the beautiful dream of yours, you can experience so much more profound journey and life experience.

Anya Smith (21:34.701)
And earlier you mentioned that you're cognizant also of the energy that, that proving energy that about you about moving to the U.S. and there was energy about proving yourself to him and that you're reflecting on the energy to make sure maybe that's not the energy you want to be vibing on. Here's maybe not the specific example, what's been your biggest example where shifting your energy or working energy has changed your life or maybe somebody that you worked with, how has it changed their lives? If you have some examples you want to share.

Kamilla (22:03.586)
Sure, I can talk about my examples, and there are many examples of people I work with that I could think about, because it changes life from subtle to big, in big ways. I think just from personal standpoint, right? Opening my business, working at a corporate job, juggling things, right?

I say juggle because there are many things in the air. And at the same time...

the energy that I wake up with every day and the consciousness that I have every day, how I want to prioritize my day and how I want to prioritize my life and listening to myself when I get.

too stretched out and I want to contract and I want to take a step back and I want to relax that is such a big difference because I actually rarely if ever feel burned out. I feel tired but it's never

the place where I used to be, because I used to squeeze every drop of juice from myself to get to where I need to be. Because there was absolutely no limits to that. And now it's very different. I actually enjoy everything I do. And it could be tiring and I work long hours. None of that is...

Anya Smith (23:23.761)
Right, right, yeah.

Kamilla (23:43.814)
none of that looks kind of separate in a separate world from you being energetically charged. It's just how you show up every day. How you, you know, like the presence of it, like when I spend time with my baby, I am there, present, and it might not be the time that I could spend. And at the same time, it's this forgiveness for myself as well, that there is no this striving for perfection. So there's a lot of

those subtle changes that make your overall journey very different.

Anya Smith (24:19.105)
So beautiful. And could you maybe share a bit more about those practices that, so I'm hearing you describe the effects it had, but could you share your practices of people maybe start integrating into their lives or part of your own practice, coaching you're doing?

Kamilla (24:37.266)
Absolutely. I think that if somebody just is starting out, right, so I would always recommend to start out with journaling because there's so many practices out there and they are as individual to people as people are, right? So there's just as many people there's so many practices and you can really adapt practice in many ways. But journaling I think is the best practice to start with.

because it actually gives two things. It gives you a sense of presence and sense of awareness and then sense of reflection. So, and when I say journaling, I think people think about journaling, like, let me just write about my day, but more...

Kamilla (25:26.486)
more targeted journaling, if you will. So for example, if somebody experiences a lot of frustration in their daily lives and they constantly feel like they're like on the edge. So have a frustration journaling and ask yourself to journal at the end of the day, every time you triggered, what triggered you? What did you feel right the minute before you triggered, you got triggered and what helped you to get out of that state?

And if you journal that for three to five days and then add on, how much time do you sleep? Experiment with your sleep schedule. Experiment with your food schedule. And I'm gonna be the last person to tell you everybody has to sleep eight hours a week, eight hours a day. Eight hours a week sounds more real, but I'm just kidding. So. Right. So. And.

Anya Smith (26:17.805)
A little extreme, a little extreme.

Kamilla (26:26.458)
Really, if you start experimenting and adding that into your life, you will see and you'll be able to come up with your own success formula. How can you stay away from triggers? Or when there is a trigger, how can you respond rather than react? So you move the jerk knee reaction of your subconsciousness to your conscious response.

And that is, and that awareness will come from journaling and the presence in that, because you constantly think I have to write down at the end of the day. So I need to pay attention what's happening and that would create presence. So by, and I'm not a fan of using words have to need and should, but if we even start with that, it all evolves into a bigger purpose and the other type of journaling, I would say, I mean, you can use it for any feeling, but the other one that's that changed my life.

personally, was gratitude journaling. And that one was just because again, within the same aspect, right, at the end of the day, what am I grateful for? And next day, you start thinking, I have to write something down, so I better pay attention to all the wonderful things in my life. That creates awareness. And if you, where focus goes, energy flows. So you just, you're.

automatically become more positive because you see all the wonderful things in your life. And the key thing about gratitude journaling is not to journal only good things. So if there is a fight with a partner, for example, the gratitude can come. What have you learned from it? How did you react to it? And maybe you're not too proud how you reacted, but the learning that you can gain out of it, that worth

gratitude because now that you extracted learning and you took it in you will move on as a different person so next time you respond differently. So it's all about awareness and the last thing I'd say any practice you do whether it's meditation, affirmations, all of those things do them either when you just wake up or before you go to sleep because that is when your brain waves are at

Kamilla (28:50.434)
and you are more receptive, your subconscious mind is much more receptive to that information. So you can actually receive much more benefit from those practices if you do it while you're just half asleep.

Anya Smith (29:07.329)
So amazing, there's so much power and I love that it's something anybody can access and start. What's funny is that I'm looking at, I have my little gratitude jar over there. So at the end of the day, I take a little sticky note. And I'm not always good about reflecting it, about it during the day. Maybe I am subconsciously probably. But then the day, it forces me to seize the positive. Even if the day was challenging, especially if you're tired, you just put down the kids and thank God. But.

Kamilla (29:31.274)
Exactly. Right?

Anya Smith (29:33.429)
It makes you feel like, oh, even in the most challenging days, there's something I can find that's positive and you can build that habit. And it was funny, I just did a journaling exercise the other day and I hope it maybe bridges the gap between the sense of like, oh, this might be really fluffy, who is it really for? But I was watching Joe Dispenza, who I also really admire around the energy work and he was mentioning what would he recommend to people if he could recommend everybody in the world to do one thing, right? And he recommended eight steps, which…

You know, the first three are the same as the last three, but in different direction. So the first one is to write down, like, so imagine two point, like, what is your big goal? What is your aspiration? Who, how do you see your best self being? And you write down, what are all the thoughts that are preventing you from being that self? Then he talks about write down all the habits and actions that prevent you for being that best self. And also what are all the emotions that prevent you from being your best self? And then to your point.

We become cognizant of that, that one of the steps is like really zone in, be attuned to that. And then you go in the opposite direction. You think about as this best person, envisioning me being that best person, what thoughts do I have? What habits do I have and how do I feel? And I did that yesterday morning because I listened to it the day before and I was like, okay, I'm going to give it a try. Because of the seed you planted, I feel like more of these things and resources are showing up.

intentionally prioritizing it. And having done that exercise, I wrote it down. I thought about my best self. And that morning, let me tell you what happened. That morning, my little one, like it was chaos. My little one was on the potty going poop and needed help. Like we were running, like things got even more hectic. My dog threw up on the carpet. Like the morning was complete chaos. And yet I was just laughing how here I intentionally decided to think as my best self, you know, calm, coherent.

and everything was just going completely, even for the normal standards. And it was funny because I decided, well, this is a point of reflection. I can show up as my best self. I would look at this as not that important. I can laugh at this. I can see the humor in this chaotic moment. And that was powerful. I'm not saying that I show up perfectly, writing sense to most things, but it just was a funny reflection point. That if you chose to show up as your best self and just have that little tiny practice, those little moments that...

Anya Smith (31:55.033)
are sometimes not in your control can be managed in a more effective way. And then we go outside, of course, that we're late, everything's frozen, and my car is frozen. And here I am again, like, it's just funny when you try to change your mindset and life's like, OK, are you sure? Are you sure you want to be on the stuff? Like, yes.

Kamilla (32:10.49)
Exactly. Yes, and that's the power. And I love Joseph Spencer's very famous phrase, in order to change your reality, you have to change your personality. And I probably power phrase, but that's exactly what it is, right? By changing how we show up, how we act, how we feel, how we think. That is what changes our reality, because our reality, going back to the energy conversation, is created by us.

Anya Smith (32:37.669)
Yeah.

Kamilla (32:37.85)
energy, karma, whichever way you want to think about it, right? So if we want to change that karma and our reality, we want to, the next time we send that ball out in response to what actually already happened based on our old karma, we want to respond like our better selves.

Anya Smith (32:55.385)
And can you guys do any exercise that you want to share? Anything, any kind of practice you want us to run through, if that's relevant for this format. But one thing I also shared with my older son yesterday on the ride is I realized most days we just go with the flow. We're just like, okay, well, this day is gonna be long. This day is gonna be hard. I anticipate I'm gonna have this meeting. But I rarely think, well, what intention am I really, like not just intention, but how am I choosing to show up for that day?

How am I choosing to have an energy? Like, hey, this is gonna be awesome. What if I just show up as my very best self today? And how would that feel? Like, it was funny, I'm 33. And for the first time in my life, I had this realization that I have the power to choose how I show up no matter what the day has in store. And that was so incredible. So that was my little realization. I hope it inspires others to just challenge that. Like, how can you choose to show up? And...

back to the question, is there an exercise or practice that you'd want to share us or guide us through that would be relevant for this medium?

Kamilla (34:01.614)
I think one of the things that I can just share with listeners is the miracle question. And that is, if you just

Close your eyes for a second and think about, no, just think about centering yourself. Just take a few deep breaths.

Kamilla (34:35.018)
And now just imagine that you're home in your bed and you just woke up. And you open your eyes and you know that whatever the struggle that you've experienced all before yesterday, it's gone. So something at night has solved it for you.

And if you just sit with that for one second and then open your eyes and look around and see what has changed.

Kamilla (35:18.766)
How do you show up differently when all your problems are gone? How do you start your day differently? What is the first thing that you do? Where do you go?

How do you talk, smile, how you drink that cup of coffee? What do you listen to?

Kamilla (35:41.846)
So, and that is, and it's just so simple and you can have it as long meditation or you can have it as it just really, a question for yourself to your point, a question of intention. You wake up and you say, let's just for one second imagine that I'm in a world with no problems or with no problem at hand, specific one. How do I, how would I show up? What energy would I show up with? And then bring that energy into your day.

Because that will be the energy that will actually help you to navigate through all those challenges and get to the other side of them.

Anya Smith (36:21.465)
Yeah. And I love that you also in your program, you had some tips about how to even create a strong association of where you want to be, right? If you have this intention and really want to get deeper into it, like you had some tips about creating a little real, do you want to share that? We can totally skip that.

Kamilla (36:38.77)
Oh yeah, absolutely. No, absolutely. So I think that there is another thing with, uh, and it's called I am statement. And we just can figure out how do we want to show up? And it's a simple affirmation. So if you just come up with an affirmation, I'm confident I'm loved or I'm love. I'm gratitude. Whatever those words that resonate, I'm wealth. I'm, you know, whatever words that resonate with you. And if you put together,

your it's an equivalent of visualization board but in the form of real in the form of just sequence of pictures and I encourage you when you choose the pictures because when we choose pictures for visualization board we usually see some we usually choose something that speaks to us visually I encourage you to see and find pictures that might not even represent your

visually but they speak to you on other senses. They speak to you emotionally, spiritually. You really feel the connection with those pictures. So if you find four or five of them and attach each of the words that you want to show up as to that picture, create a reel, add the music to it and watch it twice a day. The moment you wake up and it's 30 seconds.

a minute maybe, and before you go to sleep. And just as you watch it, just really, really embrace the sensations that picture is giving you. And once that picture stops talking to you, find another one, see what has changed. Why have you feel, like why are you feeling differently? So those are very easy, simple little exercises and they can be quite life-changing.

Because as before, you know, you start removing those pictures from that film, not because you don't associate with them anymore, but because they came to life.

Anya Smith (38:46.637)
One of the practices that I really liked, if you wouldn't mind sharing, is about setting goals for the day and then reflecting on like what went well. Do you mind sharing that one? That one was actually really powerful for me and it makes me think, okay, from a checklist, right, you had this other suggestion. Would you mind sharing that?

Kamilla (39:04.37)
Oh, absolutely. That's about journaling. And so it really is journaling, but a journal in the form of to-do list. And instead of writing your to-do list and kind of just checking box on it and forgetting about it and carrying things forward, you reflect on it. So you reflect on it daily and at the end of the week. So and the difference between reflecting daily and end of the week is when you reflect daily and there is something that has not

state that has not been completed.

Instead of just moving it forward, you ask yourself a question. Why has it not been completed with no judgment? Key thing, no judgment, no guilty, no blaming, right? It's really is curiosity. Why was it not completed? And once you know the answer and it could be completely random. I just didn't feel like it. That's totally fine. So you carry it forward and you do it for three days. And then at the end of the week,

Anya Smith (40:00.99)
Right.

Kamilla (40:06.646)
if it still hasn't been completed, you ask yourself, is that important? Or because if it's not important, you wanna take it out because it takes your mental space, it takes space on your paper, like, or in your phone, don't need it, you know, just treasure. Or other deeper fears or limiting beliefs or some subconscious blocks that prevent you.

Anya Smith (40:11.322)
Mm.

Kamilla (40:32.438)
from stopping that because if it's important and if it hasn't been completed when you meant for it to be completed, there's something bigger that's going on. And that is when you want to really go into self-discovery. Just by doing that, you really know, again, it's all about awareness. Journaling is always about presence and awareness.

Anya Smith (40:40.977)
Right.

Anya Smith (40:53.381)
I love that. I love that. I hope everybody listening, just if they're not familiar with this work, can feel like how this can really change, especially if you're a high achiever, like, oh, I'm kind of a love to-do list, I get everything done. But there is so much power in thinking and reflecting about, again, what does get done, what doesn't get done, and why. And again, it's something I haven't really thought about a lot. And so this was really refreshing for me to see this common tool in a different way, in a more powerful way, and to a point.

take out the judgment, but really focus on the growth opportunity through this reflection.

Kamilla (41:28.398)
Absolutely. Yes.

Anya Smith (41:31.065)
So we talked a lot about your work. Do you mind if we all talk about this entrepreneurial side and the learnings along the way? So you are balancing a lot of things and you're doing this coaching and you're doing speaking engagements. What have you learned as part of this entrepreneurial journey that you maybe want to share with other new entrepreneurs, people who are maybe starting in their coaching space?

Kamilla (41:53.902)
I'd say two things.

Kamilla (41:59.638)
I'll say three things because first thing leads to the other two. The first thing is being brutally honest with yourself. Being brutally honest with where you want to be.

and what can you do with everything you have going on in your life and be forgiving and loving yourself.

Number two, when you're brutally honest with yourself, you know exactly where you need to take a step back and rest. You know exactly where you need to take a step back and rest.

Kamilla (42:42.218)
what is your, you know how to make yourself more successful and I'll talk about that in a second. So asking for help is the second one. And that one I've struggled with all my life and honestly, this is so new for me as like past maybe six to eight months, maybe a little more since February. So, and that actually came as part of me taking the LI assessment that I'm talking about.

And when I took it, I had that energy of like, that's not a big deal, until it really, really caught up with me. And I recognized how much I struggle with asking for help and how much that actually limits me in so many ways. And people offer help and I never can take it. And there is deeper thing going there, going on there too. So the point is that asking for help, because there's always, there are always people that...

Anya Smith (43:31.174)
Right.

Kamilla (43:42.31)
out there that will be willing to help you. If not your family and not for free, that it goes to the third one, investment in your self care. Like we always think about self care as luxury. We think, okay, like I'm too busy. I'm building my business. So the finances are probably, you know, tied up there. So all of that. And we think about self care to be some other time when I, when I'm rich and famous. But the thing is,

that if we don't take care of ourselves, then...

cannot show up 100% on our entrepreneurial journey. So think about our head as a jar of water. If you fill it up to the rim.

Kamilla (44:36.586)
and like you have new ideas or you have more drops of water let's say right how can you possibly fit it into that jar you just can't so all those ideas all those potential that you have as an entrepreneur because as entrepreneurs we have to be um creative we expect it to be you know like socializing and doing this and like men like all those things that we need to do right because that's part of our business

how can you do it if your jar is already completely full? So self-care is a necessity where you empty part at least of that jar if not everything and then you let create that space for yourself for those ideas to come in.

Anya Smith (45:11.493)
Mm.

Anya Smith (45:17.99)
Right.

Anya Smith (45:26.465)
100%. You know what this reminds me of is that now on this journey, I've interviewed so many entrepreneurs, people who are starting their business, people who are doing various work, purposeful work. And I'm honestly surprised in a really good way how many people who make incredible things happen, they do find help along the way. And I mean that from community to people, even if it's just one other person, right, somebody who just they can connect with, they can share big ideas with somebody who supports them in that way.

But the other thing is that a lot of successful people have coaches. And that surprised me because I didn't realize how essential it is because when you want to, they say like, if you want to do something quick, do it alone. When you want to go far, do it with others. And I'm paraphrasing that. And that's so true because when you're investing in somebody, you have accountability, which people don't realize how big that is. Because again, we have so many other priorities, easy to get distracted. But when somebody is like, hey, next week, we're going to talk about XYZ, you're going to show up differently.

for that meeting probably, especially if you're paying for it. That's good. If you're investing time and resource, that means you have to be serious for that commitment too. But also, if you have a coach, they have a certain level of experience that they're giving you. So yes, you can do something for free and on your own, but it's going to take you further. It's going to take you longer to get there. And that's fine, right? You can make those trade-off decisions. But again, if you want to show up to life in a certain way, at a certain amount of time, investing that...

Kamilla (46:24.491)
Absolutely.

Anya Smith (46:53.605)
can propel you to have higher dividends and faster dividends because you've made that investment too. So that's for a person learning. People that inspire me that have connected to this podcast have consistently shown this vulnerability and desire to ask for help, which some of them and a lot of them have struggled with, and they've also frequently had coaches. So definitely I see that in action too.

Kamilla (47:18.506)
Yeah, that absolutely is true. And I think that coaching becomes more and more, um, one of the disciplines that is more and more accepted and more and more explored, right? So because before people did not really know the difference between coaching and therapy or coaching and other disciplines, but the difference is so grand just because it's really not about the past, but it's about how to show up as your best self. So it's really driving you forward. And.

In that way, coaching is pretty incredible.

Anya Smith (47:51.549)
And that also reminds me, when we were in your coaching session, you were mentioning, hey, if you want to work with me, fantastic. If not, I have this group of other coaches that may be a good fit. And I love that too, is that you're obviously having your own style. And there are so many other styles just to want to empower people. If you hear somebody and they're like, oh, that style is not working for me. Or maybe it's interesting, but I'm not sure if the fit. There are so many ways to learn and people to collaborate with. So if you're just curious, like find somebody who really brings you to life.

even if they have the same topic, it might be taught a little bit differently by different persons. So if you like the idea, don't give up if just like one person doesn't align to your kind of exact match. And yeah, find that right fit for you. It will definitely go a long way.

Kamilla (48:33.022)
And I love, love that you shared that because that is exactly when people ask me how to find a coach or whether they want to work with me or whether we can work together. But from the just meeting me, I always say that we have to have a conversation for both of us to figure out whether we are fit. So because, and it's okay if we're not, that's a point. The same information coming from different people with different experiences is received

Anya Smith (48:51.804)
Right.

Anya Smith (48:56.09)
Right.

Kamilla (49:03.042)
different way. So do, I'll just repeat what Anya said, right, do find the person who speaks to you, who wants to make you grow, who makes to want to grow. So who's really, really out there, who's really there for you to support your growth journey, with whom you can resonate. So that is the most important thing, nothing else really.

Anya Smith (49:18.105)
Right. Yeah.

Kamilla (49:32.278)
matters. The rest of it is a lot of your work and you know with their support.

Anya Smith (49:35.997)
Yeah. And to add to that, I feel that even if the alignment isn't there, you learn something about yourself. Every time I work up a coach or something, even if we don't end up working together, I learn something about myself. But oh, maybe this is not a right fit. So it's a fun exploration, too. It can be fun. It doesn't have to be intimidating or grueling to have this growth. But speaking of exploration and growth, Camila, what are you excited about ahead? Maybe in your work or in this kind of energy development, anything you want to share for audience?

Kamilla (50:05.278)
Ooh, that's an interesting question. I'm excited about a lot of things. But I think mostly, well, one is definitely my program, as I mentioned, right? So I am going to have another.

another one rolled out in December. And I think it's perfect fit because it's actually right before starting the new year. It's all about goals. People trying to set goals, reflect on the year, on a past year, realign their energy. So that is exactly when I want to roll out this program. Or not roll out, but have another.

Anya Smith (50:23.281)
amazing.

Anya Smith (50:29.086)
Yes.

Kamilla (50:46.21)
cohort, if you will. And then I'm excited about the speaking opportunities because that is, I've led a whole ton of meetings throughout my career, but speaking on stage is new for me. So, and every time I now get that opportunity, I am, I'm nervous, I'm excited, and that is definitely a potential for me to grow into. So I am.

Anya Smith (50:47.561)
Amazing.

Kamilla (51:15.526)
super thrilled about tomorrow and I know it's only beginning.

Anya Smith (51:19.869)
I look forward to it. Let me know how it goes. I'm sure hopefully you post about it on Instagram and all your wonderful updates and I'll look forward to seeing it. I'm sending you the best vibes. You're going to do amazing. You're clearly so passionate about this topic and it makes a difference. Just being a participant, I know that's made a difference in my life and I'm just excited that you're focusing your energy on this to help others and I'm excited for this program in December. To wrap up here at Write Off Track, we do three rapid fire questions. So whenever you're ready, I'll do those.

Kamilla (51:29.57)
Thank you.

Kamilla (51:51.502)
Sure.

Anya Smith (51:52.833)
Okay, first but not least, first one, one book that's changed your life.

Kamilla (52:00.838)
One what? Sorry. Oh, one book. I think Think Like a Monk.

Anya Smith (52:01.969)
One book, one book that changed your life.

Anya Smith (52:08.697)
Yes, by Jay Shetty. Amazing. Oh, he's such an inspiration. Yes, okay, check that out. Okay. What's the soundtrack to your life right now?

Kamilla (52:10.654)
Yes, but you're shitty. I love it.

Kamilla (52:21.873)
Um...

Kamilla (52:25.662)
Oh my God, can I just keep that line? I'll come back to it.

Anya Smith (52:29.265)
Yeah, sure thing. Okay, okay, okay. Okay, most used app on your phone. Backup question, most used app on your phone.

Kamilla (52:36.342)
At this point, it's between Canva and Instagram.

Anya Smith (52:41.197)
Oh, 100%, 100%. Okay, last but not least, going off track is.

Kamilla (52:47.978)
an amazing podcast that everybody should listen.

Anya Smith (52:51.845)
That was the best response. Yeah, I'm very biased. I'm very biased. That's amazing. Okay, to all of our listeners, I just want to thank you so much for going this adventure with us and investing your time in your own growth and sharing curiosity for what other people are doing on their journey. And as a quick plug, Right Off Track is a podcast of a purpose. And one of my purposes right now is to support an amazing nonprofit Ready To Empower, which empowers women worldwide. They have been in operation for 10 years right now, and they are raising $50,000.

which 100% of which goes to operation costs. And they are doing that by December 8th. So if you feel in your heart to make a generous donation of any amount, I would be so grateful. Please check out the description below for more info on that. If you know anything else, any final thoughts you wanna share with our audience before we let you go.

Kamilla (53:38.39)
No, I think just if you're interested in exploring more about energy, about coaching, you can just book a free call with me on my website or follow me on Instagram. So it's at udreamudu, it's Y-O-U both times. And I am super grateful. Thank you, Anya.

Anya Smith (54:00.537)
My pleasure. I'm looking forward to working with you personally. So selfishly, I'm very excited for this conversation so I get to learn more from you. And everybody check out Camila, check out her Instagram. She always is showing up there sharing more insights, sharing more stories. She is genuinely just so passionate about helping others. So see if it's the right fit for coaching and maybe get a spot in December coaching class as well. Camila, thank you so much for coming right after this. This was a blast.

Kamilla (54:23.786)
Thank you Anya, this was awesome.

Anya Smith (54:25.317)
My pleasure.

Kamilla Pinel

Life, Energy and Leadership Coach

I am originally from Uzbekistan, a country in Central Asia, and one of only two doubly landlocked countries in the world. I've always been the type of person who seeks something more, something bigger, something bolder in life. It's one of the reasons I made the life-changing decision to move across the world to the United States at the age of 19. The other reason behind this move was to prove to my dad that I was capable of overcoming any challenges thrown at me, all on my own.
Now, fast forward 17 years, my life has been a sequence of dreams, challenges, persevering through adversities, and achieving remarkable results. It took me years to recognize this recurring pattern, and upon reflection, I realized that some of those "successes" were subconscious manifestations of societal norms or my parents' aspirations for me. This explains why the happiness and celebrations that followed often felt empty, like mere boxes on a checklist.
It was time for a change, and I embarked on a profound two-year journey of self-discovery. From therapies to energy practices, comprehensive assessments, coaching, and even hypnosis, I left no stone unturned in my quest to understand what true happiness meant to me.
Starting as a 19-year-old girl who embarked on a life-altering journey with nothing but ambition in a foreign country, I held a wide variety of jobs. I went from working in fast-food restaurants and being a caregiver to a wonderful woman whose family became my American family, to working for some of the world's largest multinational corporati… Read More
